Platforms

In this section you’ll find an overview of the platforms we work with across different projects.

WordPress is by far the most commonly used platform at Terra, which is why it has its own dedicated and more detailed documentation. However, depending on the project, you may also work with other platforms such as Sanity, or more occasionally with tools like Bentobox, Builder, Webflow, Landingi, or AEM.

Even if you don’t use all of these platforms on a daily basis, it’s important to be familiar with them. At some point, you may be assigned to a project that relies on one of these CMSs or website builders, and having this information documented here helps you get started faster and understand the project context.

This section serves as a reference point to understand when, why, and how we use each platform, and what to expect when working with them in a Terra project.

A collaborative interface design tool used for creating and reviewing design mockups. Figma is essential for frontend development at Terra, providing design specs, assets, and layouts that developers translate into working code.

A modern headless CMS that provides a flexible content platform with real-time collaboration. Sanity offers structured content with a customizable editing environment, making it ideal for projects requiring content to be delivered across multiple channels.

A hosting and deployment platform that automates building and deploying websites directly from Git repositories. At Terra, Netlify is mainly used for Astro projects and small specific setups, providing automatic deployments and easy visibility into build status and deploy history.

A no-code, cloud-based landing page builder. It features Smart Sections for reusable components and supports desktop and mobile endpoints for responsive design.

A visual web design platform that combines design, building, and hosting capabilities. Webflow allows for professional websites to be built without extensive coding, while still providing the ability to add custom code when needed.

A headless CMS and visual editor that enables teams to build and optimize digital experiences. Builder integrates with existing tech stacks and allows for visual editing while maintaining code quality and performance.

A website platform specifically designed for restaurants and hospitality businesses. Bentobox provides specialized features for menu management, reservations, and online ordering integrated into beautifully designed websites.

An enterprise-level content management solution from Adobe. AEM combines digital asset management with a powerful CMS to deliver personalized content experiences across web, mobile, and other channels.
